One more stop to the corporate act of the Olbia ASL, the mayors of Gallura have not voted on the plan to reorganize the hospital network and the territorial health system.

Today, in front of the regional councilor for health, Carlo Doria, municipal administrators and regional councilors of the north-east strongly contested the contents of the reorganization, presented by the general manager of the Olbia ASL, Marcello Acciaro. The strongest positions taken were those of the mayor of Tempio Pausania, Gianni Addis, and his colleague from San Teodoro, Rita Deretta. Addis called the company act illegitimate due to the lack of involvement of the mayors. The hospital in Tempio, in the new structure, will not have beds in pediatrics and other important departments. The allocation of 32 rehabilitation beds does not convince Addis.

The regional councilor of the Democratic Party, Giuseppe Meloni, denounced the lack of a 118 doctor in Olbia for the end-of-year shifts and asked for an urgent correction of the reorganization plan also for the John Paul II of Olbia . The mayor of Olbia, Settimo Nizzi, addressing the regional councilor, asked why in Gallura it is not possible to carry out CT and MRI scans in a reasonable time. The intervention of the regional councilor Andrea Biancareddu, who attacked the general director of the ASL, Marcello Acciaro, was also harsh. The regional councilor for health, Carlo Doria, asked the mayors to indicate priorities and corrections of the company act, which, for now, remains at a standstill.
