Moments of tension this afternoon in Alghero due to the eviction of two families from a property owned by the local health authority. The building in via Tarragona, in fact, had been occupied for about ten years by four adults and the same number of minors.

Following an eviction order issued by the Court of Sassari, the tenants had to leave the building with all their belongings inside . After hours of negotiations with the Social Services and the intervention of the President of the Health Commission, Christian Mulas, the families have vacated the building that once served as a vaccination clinic and which since 2013 had been transformed into a residential home. UDC councilor Christian Mulas tried to mediate . At 3.30 pm the two families left the house which will now be manned by security guards. The furniture and personal effects will be kept in a container, while the displaced are asking not to be left to their fate.

"I have always worked and paid a rent for many years - says a young mother - then I went through a period of serious difficulty and I asked for help from the municipal offices. I was forced to occupy - she continues - and now I would like to be protected together to my children ".
