A " march of the internal areas " to promote the development of the Island : this is what the CISL has announced for tomorrow, Saturday 14 September , on the occasion of the large demonstration in Badde Salighes for the 50th anniversary of the Regional Trade Union.

At Villa Piercy, starting at 9 am , over 700 representatives of the general council, of the Unions and Federations, of pensioners, the former general secretaries Antonio Uda, Mario Medde and Ignazio Ganga and the deputy national general secretary Daniela Fumarola will meet.

Speakers will include the President of the Region, Alessandra Todde, the President of the Regional Council, Piero Comandini, the President of Anci Sardegna, Daniela Falconi, and the President of the Sardinian Episcopal Conference, Monsignor Antonello Mura.

"The 50th anniversary of the celebration of the first congress of the Usr - explains the Sardinian general secretary Pier Luigi Ledda - will not be a simple ritual moment, but an opportunity to reflect on today and on the challenges that characterize the present and the future of our community and our Island . The vision is always that of a positive change that maintains strong references in our values and ideals: the centrality of the person, the full realization of his material and intellectual needs (of an individual, family, social type), solidarity and social justice, all useful conditions for building an ideal of peace".

The great Cisl celebration will be the occasion, Ledda anticipates, «to put in place a strong action, of the people, a march for the internal areas and for the development of the entire Island. We are thinking of a positive movement to raise awareness among the public and the institutions on the need to promote policies in favor of the internal areas – the leader of the Cisl specifies -, with particular attention to education, training and economic recovery and for a strong support for the Einstein Telescope at Sos Enattos. We will propose to the Cgil, to the Uil, to the mayors to join the march, for the Cisl and for Sardinia it is time for ideas to bear fruit».
