A two-and-a-half-year-old child and a pregnant woman also ended up at the Lanusei Emergency Room. The 118 staff focused on all five people involved in the accident that occurred along the Lanusei-San Paolo provincial road , but the ones who caused particular concern were the child and the woman. At the end of the routine checks, everyone was able to breathe a sigh of relief: very scared but unharmed .

The other three people involved suffered minor injuries, including facial and spinal contusions . They were all transported to Nostra Signora della Mercede.

This afternoon's accident forced the ambulances, firefighters and traffic police of Lanusei under the command of inspector Fausto Loddo to work overtime. It was a chain collision involving three cars: an Alfa Romeo 159, an Opel Corsa and a Renault Kadjar . Traffic on the provincial road slowed down for long periods and the traffic police, to facilitate rescue operations and carry out surveys, ordered an alternating one-way system.
