He tried to steal from a market. Discovered by the security guards he was handed over to the police. An hour later, another theft attempt. Same chain, different area of the city, but the same goods: tuna and tuna fillets. Once again caught by the vigilantes, this time he was caught by the police.

The protagonist of the (failed) serial thefts, which occurred last night in Cagliari, is a foreigner. Like another thief who was stopped this morning in another supermarket: the same one who, when discovered, stabbed a security guard two weeks ago.

Serial thefts

The first attempted theft yesterday around 6pm at the Iper Pan in Via Santa Gilla. The young man's movements did not go unnoticed. And before reaching the checkout barrier, the security guard on duty found cans of tuna worth over 100 euros hidden on him. The police intervened on the spot. However, after identification and reporting, the young man remained at large. So he moved to Pirri, in via Calamattia, where the scene was repeated: the loot of over 100 euros worth of tuna, the intervention of the security guard and the arrival of the carabinieri. The criminal evening ended with an arrest, without violence.

The stab wounds

The outcome of an attempted theft that took place two weeks ago at the Iper Pan in Viale La Playa was more bloody: a North African put three bottles of oil in his backpack and showed up at the cash register to pay for just a few euros of wine. . The security guard stopped him, inviting him to return the stolen goods. And he reacted by pulling out a knife to hit the security guard in the hand. Only by chance did another blow not reach him from behind. The complaint was also made then, with the arrival of the police. But no precautionary measures had been taken: the same violent thief was stopped this morning, in the same market. The charge: theft.
