The roots had also dismantled parts of the flooring and systems and dry branches risked falling on patients: today it was necessary to remove some large pines inside the buildings that make up the Sirai hospital.

The intervention began this morning and will go on for several days at the request of the general management of the hospital concerned about the various reports received in particular by the managers of the Dialysis department around which the pines had been planted decades ago.

The roots ended up dismantling part of the external structures, and also jeopardized the functionality of some plants. To prevent the situation from worsening, the cutting of the pines has started.

An accommodation operation will also be carried out in the avenue leading to the emergency room. On the other hand, the small pine forest of the car park in front of Dialysis will be safeguarded since it is quite distant from the structures.
