The Is Meis neighborhood in Carbonia has also been included in the so-called 30-kilometer zones, meaning those in which speeds are prohibited. The Municipality made this decision based on the high speeds of vehicles, the narrow lanes, the lack of sidewalks (often undersized), the frequency of entry and exit through driveways, and the use of the neighborhood's roads instead of the main road.
At the same time, the municipal police issued an ordinance imposing a 30 km/h speed limit in the immediate vicinity of all speed bumps and raised pedestrian crossings that have been built: the two on Via Satta, the one between Via del Minatore and Via Castelsardo, two on Via Don Orione, two on Via Dalmazia, two on Via Liguria, two in the hamlet of Cortoghiana on Via Rinaldo Loi, one on Via Cesare Battisti in Serbariu, one in Flumentepido on Via delle Querce, one in Barbusi on Via Santa Maria delle Grazie, and two on Via Don Orione.
