Arsonists once again in action in Carbonia, in the countryside between Barbusi and the hamlet of Caput Aquas where car fires have already occurred several times.

Completely destroyed by an arson attack today was a Fiat Punto that had been abandoned a couple of months ago in the hills of the two villages on the northern outskirts of the city.

The alarm was given by some residents, forced for some time to watch helplessly in the fires of cars brought near the two hamlets and then abandoned. This is in fact the fourth episode in just over two months.

The firefighters of the Carbonia detachment intervened on the spot, but the only thing left of Fiat was the still smoking body.

The intervention of the firefighters has allowed the flames not to extend into the nearby Mediterranean scrub and nearby crops.

"However, we believe - underlines the former president of the neighborhood committee Lorenzo Congia - that this phenomenon must end and we hope it will happen as soon as possible".
