The Special Olympics Italia flash mob took place this morning in the central Piazza Roma in Carbonia , an event involving around 800 youngsters , including athletes from the Sardinia team who joined the Special Olympics Italia initiative and local school children including the classes of the 'Istituto Comprensivo Satta, and of the Institute of Higher Education "Gramsci Amaldi".

The participants all wore red T -shirts which colored the square . The initiative took place with the support of the Municipality of Carbonia.

The event, called "Flashmob 2022 #SpecialOlympicsBalla", aims to celebrate the international day of
people with disabilities, scheduled for December 3rd.

From the flash mob , to the pressing notes of "Dove si Balla" by Dargen D'amico , a video clip will then be created which will be published on all the Special Olympics Italia social channels.
The mayor Pietro Morittu and some members of the municipal council also took part in the event.
