Great participation this evening at the demonstration of solidarity for the mayor of Oniferi Davide Muledda, victim of an act of intimidation last Sunday during the Carnival festival in Soloai, in front of the sanctuary of the Madonna della pace.

«Thank you all, you have reassured me, because you are giving me the affection and esteem that is an asset. For this reason I will not resign, because you gave me the strength, indeed, I feel even more responsible in representing this community. Whoever did this damage didn't do it to me, but to the Oniferese people who have the right to a peaceful life of happiness and love ", are Muledda's first words (spoken in Oniferese) after two days of silence.

The mayor invites his fellow villagers to remain united while the crowd in the square is moved, cries, clings to each other, agrees with those who lead them, because once again he demonstrates his honesty in a moment of difficulty , worried more about his country than himself. An aspect underlined several times this evening by individual citizens, associations and groups, Pro Loco, by the parish priest Ruggero Bettarelli, friends from every part of the island, schools, Lariso, trade unions, entire municipal administrations (Nuoro, Orani, Sarule, Orotelli, Ottana , Olzai, Fonni), and by the Anci president Emiliano Deiana.
