The fire that has been devastating the woods of Gallura since Thursday 1 August, in the territory of Luras and Calangianus, regained strength in the early hours of the morning.

Teams from the Forestry Corps, firefighters, barracelli and civil protection are in action on site. To put out the fires that started burning again, regional Forestry helicopters took to the skies.

Reinforcements are converging in the area to keep the advance of the flames at bay from the ground and then proceed with the clean-up operations.

Unfortunately, this is not an unexpected phenomenon: it has already been clarified that there are not enough teams to carry out effective clean-ups.
