A giant trunk, over 15 meters long, on the shoreline of the splendid Cala Sinzias beach. Thousands of “Lepas Anatifera” mussels stuck to the wood. It was transported by the last storm and immediately became a tourist attraction. Hundreds of swimmers stop curious to take pictures.

The trunk is located almost in front of the Garden Beach resort directed by Pierpaolo Piu: «We are ready – explains Piu -, on possible indications from the competent bodies, to move the mega trunk to the beach, near the dunes. In any case, it is good news for this splendid beach».

The trunk could also have arrived from thousands of kilometers away, carried by the currents. The mussels present are common in the Mediterranean but are even more typical of tropical areas.
