"Creating modern learning environments suited to the needs of contemporary teaching " in order to " foster the integration of traditional methodologies, innovative approaches, and advanced laboratory practices ." With this spirit, the Councilor for Public Education, Ilaria Potas, yesterday formalized the €187 million regional plan to revamp schools, inside and out.

European resources

The funds, approved by the Regional Council on Wednesday, come from Brussels, specifically from the European Development and Cohesion Fund (EDC) 2021-2027. "The line of action," Portas officials specify, "is 'the creation of school architecture that can adapt to students' needs.' " The resources will be allocated "to adapt buildings and purchase innovative furniture and equipment for preschools, primary schools, and lower secondary schools."

In Sardinia, there are 1,750 institutions, spread across 328 municipalities (out of a total of 377). This heritage was almost entirely built over thirty years ago," the councilor specifies.
