Cala Gonone: Car on fire and suspicious package found in front of owner's home

Team 1A from the Nuoro Fire Brigade Headquarters responded shortly after 1 a.m. to Via Tirso in Cala Gonone to a fire involving an Audi, which was completely destroyed by the flames.

Upon arriving on the scene, the team extinguished the flames and secured the road. Initial police investigations leave little doubt that the fire was started deliberately.

A suspicious package was also found at the entrance to the car owner's home: the Carabinieri are investigating the case.
