She died together with her partner after falling from the cliff of Cala Fighera . A tragic accident, a flight from the rocks fatal for both, followed by the fall into the waters of the Gulf of Cagliari, where she was found lifeless by rescuers. And yet, two weeks after the tragedy, that place still speaks of Manola Mascia . And it does so by returning the blue scarf that belonged to the 29-year-old from Cagliari , found twisted around the fence that runs along the Calamosca promenade .
The discovery was reported by Manola's mother, Cristina , who shared the photo of the garment on her Facebook profile. The scarf, jealously guarded by some shrub or tree trunk, was protected from the wind that has hit the city in recent days. Perhaps a last, mocking gift from the same fate that took Manola away, tearing her away from the love of her loved ones . The family, still heartbroken, launched an appeal on social media, asking anyone who has found one of the girl's personal effects to contact them.
In addition to the scarf, a belt with a buckle was also found, probably belonging to the black coat that was found in the sea. However, the "white backpack" and the "cell phone" are still missing, objects that could be found in the area.
The family's hope is that, despite the passage of time, the place can return other fragments of Manola's life. "Anyone who finds anything else, contact us," the woman's appeal. Along with the 29-year-old, Paolo Durzu, a 33-year-old from Quartu, also lost his life. His body was found about 15 meters from the point where his girlfriend's body was found.
