Vigilantes in the shopping streets of Cagliari . The service is active from today, Friday 23 December.

Uniformed stewards who join the forces of order to guarantee more safety and tranquility in the streets of the city centre.

With the latest change in the budget, the municipality of Cagliari disbursed 50,000 euros to the Chamber of Commerce which, through a tender, gave the task of the supervisory institute "La Sicurezza Notturna" to provide security guards not armed in the main streets of the historical centre .

The stewards, easily recognizable by the uniforms of the Supervisory Institute, will not be able to intervene directly but will be able to report any problems to the local police, state police and Carabinieri .

They are in service on holidays and on the day before holidays from 7pm to 3am, from December 23rd to January 8th . The affected streets are via Garibaldi, via Manno, Largo Carlo Felice, via Roma and the districts of Marina and Stampace .
