Two people were reported to the Cagliari prosecutor's office by the carabinieri on charges of aggravated fraud.

These are a 75-year-old and a 25-year-old, both residing in Crotone , held responsible for an attempted scam against a 64-year-old from Nuoro, but residing in Cagliari.

The woman had turned to the two to buy a stock of 70 bags of pellets, paying a sum of 492 euros by bank transfer.

After the money was sent, however, the "sellers" disappeared. The 64-year-old then turned to the military at Villanova station who launched investigations, finally managing to track down and identify the two scammers. Both, as mentioned, have been reported.

The investigations, however, continue: the suspicion, in fact, is that the two may be responsible for many other similar scams.
