Cagliari, the new traffic revolution begins around Viale Trieste
The traffic changes are active, which are part of the road redevelopment worksL’intervista di Virginia Devoto all'assessore comunale alla viabilità Yuri Marcialis
The ordinance that re-determines the circulation in part of Viale Trieste in Cagliari has been in force since 9am today, with inconveniences in sight since it will be valid (at least) until next November 19th.
Specifically, a one-way system has been established on the stretch of road that goes from the intersection with Via Roma to Via Cesare Battisti, with the direction of travel in the direction of Sant'Avendrace . For those arriving from Via Roma, therefore, there will be no particular changes. Vehicles coming from Viale Trento will instead have to turn left onto Via Cesare Battisti, while today they can reach the intersection with Via Pola, with the obligation to turn left. For those arriving from the dead-end stretch of road, the mandatory direction at the intersection with Viale Trieste is straight and left. In Via Nazario Sauro, the mandatory direction is to the right at the intersection with Viale Trieste, while in Via Renzo Frau it is to the left.
The new provisions in force from today, which are part of ordinance 2421/2024 signed last Friday , are part of the environmental and landscape redevelopment works of the road (the concrete pavement needs to be made), which have been underway for over a year, not without inconvenience for traffic, traders and residents . In addition, there is a no-parking ban with removal of the signs – on both sides and valid 0-24 – in via Mameli from number 144A to the intersection with via Pola and again in viale Trieste (with the exclusion of company vehicles) in the section from number 100 to 98. Further changes are expected in two weeks.
