After 14 years the Municipality relaunches the Roman Amphitheater of Cagliari. The most important monument of the city has already been partially visitable from above for some years but from next summer it will be possible to reach the heart of the monument.

Then later, not before two years (minimum deadline for restoration work), the shows for a thousand people will also return. The Municipality proceeds in three steps: from today the cleaning of the site begins (waste, weeds, general safety), in January the work will begin for the creation of the walkways to allow the citizens of Cagliari and tourists to see the monument up close.

All this by the summer of 2025, then the 4 million euro restoration works, with a new stage for shows for a thousand people, digital viewers for the enjoyment of the monument (it will not be possible to visit it in its entirety), the escape routes connected to the botanical garden.
