The heating of the high schools managed by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari works. This was announced by the body, which this morning carried out monitoring in the institutes from which the complaints had come from the children, who complained of cold and failure to turn on the systems.

«With regards to the Foiso Fois institute in via Sant'Eusebio in Cagliari», we read in a note, «the punctual and correct activation of the system emerged at 7.52 am as well as the reaching of the temperature of 19/20° C according to the limits of the law, as happened in the previous days".

From a joint check with the school director and the maintenance company it was found «that the complaints concerned some floor fan coils», which however had been «vandalized by the students themselves, therefore not functioning correctly. Some had been replaced, with an extraordinary intervention, just last year.

The same temperature of 19/20° was detected in the offices of Azuni in via Is Maglias, via Codroipo, via Monte Acuto in Cagliari and Pula, of Martini in viale Ciusa in Cagliari and in via Cesare Cabras in Monserrato, of the scientific high school Alberti in viale Colombo and via Koch in Cagliari, the Buccari nautical institute in viale Colombo in Cagliari, the Brotzu in Quartu Sant'Elena and the De Sanctis in via Is Cornalias in Cagliari.

The Metropolitan City underlines that " monitoring was carried out promptly even in the plants in which no critical issues were reported, and in all of them an ambient temperature compliant with the regulations was detected". During the Christmas holidays, various maintenance interventions were carried out in numerous institutions. On January 8, however, «following a technical problem in the remote control system of the heating systems, some systems lost the programming set for 5 in the morning. Once the problem was detected, steps were taken, successfully and in the same morning, to reactivate the system throughout the entire metropolitan area concerned."
