The regulars do not give up that coffee even on the last day , and the tables at the Swiss are full even on the eve of closing. There are also passers-by, some tourists curious about the iconic ceiling and its arches, the 19th-century chandeliers or the vintage furnishings. From tomorrow, the oldest bar in Cagliari will close, it is not yet clear whether definitively or not.

«An institution» , some customers say as they leave the club. And in fact there are few people who, passing through Largo Carlo Felice, right in front of la Rinascente, have not noticed the Swiss at least once.

Now a new chapter is opening in the history of the bar: it could return in the same guise in a few months, or it could be converted into a luxury accommodation facility that could be built in the building.
