Cagliari Respira Half Marathon: Here are all the changes to traffic

The sixteenth edition of Cagliari Respira will be held over the weekend, the half marathon event that – like every year – attracts numerous enthusiasts. Saturday is the conference day, Sunday is the day of the actual event . Which, necessarily, requires several changes to the circulation that will have a significant impact on traffic in the capital.
With the executive order number 2843/2024, the Municipality of Cagliari has indicated all the changes to traffic. Sunday, traffic is prohibited from 7 am to 1 pm (with the exception of vehicles following the event) in the streets included within the perimeter delimited by largo Carlo Felice, corso Vittorio Emanuele II, viale Trento, viale Sant'Avendrace, viale Trieste, via Roma extension and via Roma in front of Palazzo Civico. In the neighborhoods of Stampace Basso and Sant'Avendrace, traffic will be suspended only for the time necessary for the passage of the marathon runners .
The traffic ban from 7am to 1pm also applies to the following streets:
- Viale Diaz (semi-carriageway from Piazza Scopigno to Piazza Amendola and from Piazza Amendola to Via Rockefeller);
- Piazza Marco Polo (excluding the parking area);
- via Messina (section between via Firenze and viale Diaz);
- via Caboto (section between viale Colombo and viale Diaz);
- via Siracusa (section between via Palermo and viale Diaz);
- via Catania (section between via Palermo and viale Diaz);
- Sports Street;
- via Monte Mixi (section towards viale Diaz);
- Viale Cimitero (section between Viale Bonaria and Viale Diaz);
- via Sonnino (section between Piazzetta Lippi and Viale Diaz, excluding scheduled buses);
- via Giolitti (from piazza de Gasperi to via Sonnino);
- Pirastu Street;
- Piazza Deffenu (for the lane leading to Piazza Amendola only);
- Amendola square;
- viale Regina Margherita (from via Eleonora d'Arborea to piazza Amendola in the same direction of travel, excluding scheduled buses);
- via Roma bus lanes;
- via Roma porticos in both directions from piazza Amendola to via Sassari, excluding public transport (Ctm and Arst) coming from via Sassari/viale la Playa and vehicles exiting the station car park in the section of via Roma between via Sassari and largo Carlo Felice in the direction of lungomare 11 settembre 2001;
- via Sassari from viale La Playa to via Roma, excluding public transport (Ctm and Arst) and vehicles exiting the station car park;
- largo Carlo Felice (semi-carriageway towards piazza Yenne);
- via Baylle (section between via Savoia and via Dettori);
- via Baylle (section between via del Mercato Vecchio and via Roma;
- via Napoli (section between via Sardegna and via Roma)

- viale Poetto (only the lane reserved for buses in the direction of piazza Arcipelaghi and then the right lane up to piazza Arcipelaghi);

- Lungosaline Poetto (parking lane from Piazza Arcipelago to Via Elba);

- Poetto seafront (running lanes and cycle path);
- La Palma Street;

The parking ban, with forced removal, will begin at 6pm on Saturday and will be in force until 2pm on Sunday in the following streets:
- Diaz Avenue;
- Marco Polo square (half moon only);
- Sports Street;
- via Pirastu (from via Campidano to viale Diaz in the same direction of travel);
- largo Carlo Felice (right side towards piazza Yenne and central parking);
- Corso Vittorio Emanuele II (from Via Caprera to Viale Trento);
- Carloforte Street;
- Bruscu Onnis Street;
- Annunziata square;
- Piazza Yenne from number 38 to number 43;
- Trento Avenue;
- Sorcinelli square in its entirety;
- viale Sant'Avendrace (from viale Trento to via Flumendosa)
- Viale Trieste (on both sides from Via XXIX Novembre 1847 to Viale Sant'Avendrace);
- via Renzo Frau;
- via Roma (from viale Trieste to largo Carlo Felice);
- La Palma Street;
- via Caboto (in the section between Molo Sant'Elmo and viale Diaz);
- via Elba;
- Lungosaline Poetto/parking lane (from Piazza Arcipelago to Via Elba).
Reduced carriageway, from 7am to 2pm on Sunday, in:
- Viale Diaz (from Via Ancona to Via Bottego);
- via Roma (from via Sassari, near the station, up to the intersection with largo Carlo Felice in the direction of lungomare 11 settembre 2001);
- Viale Diaz (from Via Rockefeller to Piazza Scopigno);
- Scopigno square roundabout;
- viale Campioni d'Italia 1969/1970 (from piazza Scopigno to via Fiorelli);
- San Bartolomeo/Tramontana roundabout;
- Tramontana Street;
- viale Poetto (from via Tramontana to piazza Arcipelago);
- Piazza Arcipelago roundabout (from Viale Poetto to Lungosaline Poetto parking lane);
- descent of the Fair;
- descent of the Trinitarians;
- via Caboto.
Finally, mandatory right turn from Viale Trieste to Via XXIX Novembre 1847 from 7am to 2pm on Sunday and reversal of direction of travel (during the same times) in Via Caboto from Calata dei Trinitari to Piazza Marco Polo , in the semi-carriageway opposite to that of the demonstration, to allow transit on the slip road in the direction of Viale Ferrara.
