One hundred and ten irregular pots scattered in the depths of the Gulf of Cagliari were seized yesterday by the Coast Guard. They were also marked with a system that put navigation at risk.

When they were identified by the military of the Capitaneria, the illegal fishing equipment was in a precarious condition, but in any case it was lethal traps for fish, crustaceans and molluscs.

The activities of the Harbor Master's Office also took place on land. The staff of the Fisheries Control Center carried out an inspection in a Cagliari market: the seizure of a batch of red shrimp, caught and sold in violation of the rules on the protection of public health and the environment, was taken .

The product was on sale on the counter of two boxes without any traceability and, above all, in a period in which fishing is prohibited and, consequently, also the marketing.

The two traders were fined 3 thousand euros.
