Two red benches at Cagliari airport on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women scheduled for Saturday 25 November. And on the day of the anniversary the Elmas airport will be symbolically lit up in red .

THE INITIATIVE – Born from the idea of some employees who for years have been trying to raise awareness among colleagues and users on the issue of violence against women and gender inequality, the initiative then involved the top management of the Sogaer group. Two benches in front of the airport have been colored red and marked with stickers that combine the red female shoe, the symbolic object of the international awareness campaign, with the slogan "no violence against women".

The installations are positioned on the Arrivals and Departures floors to broaden the scope of the initiative and reach the widest possible audience.

The intent - explains Sogaer - is to also invite passengers, operators and visitors of Cagliari Airport to stop on the red benches to reflect, so as not to forget, to identify a shared path which, through concrete actions, promotes a useful debate to combat and defeat the scourge of gender violence.
