Race against time to save a newborn baby girl in imminent danger of death.
The little girl was urgently transferred late Tuesday evening from the Policlinico di Monserrato to the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome.
An Italian Air Force Falcon took off from Rome Ciampino airport for the transport.
The little girl was taken in charge at Elmas airport and travelled monitored and assisted by a medical team.
After landing in the capital, around 10pm, an ambulance transported her to Bambino Gesù for subsequent hospitalization and the start of treatment.
