When police officers showed up at the headquarters of the Cagliari-based luxury car rental company, those responsible were shocked: the Flying Squad officers were supposed to execute an internationally ordered seizure. Three highly valuable cars were seized in an investigation about which no specific information has emerged, and the owners of the local rental company are completely uninvolved. But as if that weren't enough, during checks at the parking lot where the vehicles were located, problems also emerged with two other cars: a Ferrari and a Lamborghini. These two cars were also seized as ordered by the Milan Prosecutor's Office in an embezzlement investigation. The case apparently involves a company owning the vehicles and the intermediary, which allegedly leased them and then entrusted them to the Cagliari-based company, which also had no involvement in the incident.

The value

The damage remains for the city-based company , which found itself with five highly valuable vehicles ( worth close to a million euros) seized. After being seized, they were left in the custody of the rental company's owners, pending further developments in the dual legal proceedings. The Cagliari-based company continues to operate, however, as they have several vehicles for rent, in addition to offering other services.

The suspects

There are no leaks regarding the two investigations. One, which led to the seizure of three cars, is being coordinated by a foreign prosecutor's office: they are likely investigating the vehicles' origin and the route they took to Cagliari. The suspicions and accusations, it is reiterated, do not concern the rental company based in the city. The same is true for the second investigation, this time being conducted by the Milan prosecutor's office. In this case, the alleged crime is known: embezzlement. It appears that the company owning the two cars (a Ferrari and a Lamborghini) entrusted them to an intermediary firm, but there were reportedly problems with the payment of the fees or agreed-upon amounts. This prompted the investigation and the issuance of a seizure order, which was executed by patrol officers at the Cagliari rental company's headquarters. However, it has nothing to do with the legal proceedings. Many aspects still need to be clarified in a market like that of luxury cars, which often involves significant amounts of capital.
