They had settled, with their minor children, in a council flat in via Belvedere in Cagliari , previously assigned to a tenant now deceased , and they had also carried out illegal work and connections . But the local police did not escape the irregularities and the occupying family got into trouble.

The discovery was made by agents of the Emergency Response Unit of the Local Police Corps , during the usual checks for the repression of illegal occupations of municipal buildings managed by the ERP.

In addition to the undue occupation of the house, the brigade also ascertained the demolition of a wall at the entrance to the building and a do-it-yourself connection to the meters, resulting in the theft of electricity and water .

All occupants have been identified. For adults, a complaint was filed for illegal occupation of properties, damage to public goods and theft of electricity. For minors present in the house, however, a report will be made to the Prosecutor's Office for Minors.
