A road accident, also due to the rain, occurred this morning at the exit of Cagliari in via Riva di Ponente. Shortly after 9 a car, on its own, lost control on the curve at the end of viale la Plaia and skidded. The impact was quite violent, so much so that it broke through the wall that separates the road from the sports center a few meters away.

An ambulance was called immediately for first aid. According to initial reconstruction, the young driver lost control due to the slippery asphalt caused by the rain that has been falling on Cagliari for hours . The driver was rescued, his conditions are not serious and he was conscious. The other passengers were unharmed.

The car was heavily damaged, completely destroyed in the front. To allow for rescue operations, a lane exiting Cagliari was temporarily closed to traffic . Which, thanks to the holiday, is much less heavy than usual today.
