She would have been raped in the bathrooms of the Monte Claro park by a barely adult boy she had met on social media. What happened to a student from Cagliari, not yet fifteen, is at the center of an investigation by the Prosecutor's Office for sexual violence against a minor , after the complaint presented by the teenager's mother.
The story
The story dates back to last September 2, when the eighteen-year-old and the girl met after contacting each other on Instagram and spending some time chatting together. First they would have gone for a trip to the shops and the young man would have bought something, then the decision to continue to the park that runs along Via Cadello. It is here that, according to the story told by the 14-year-old to her mother, the violence occurred in the bathrooms located in the lower part of the green lung.
The investigation
After the complaint presented by the student's family, who turned to the lawyer Gino Emanuele Melis, the file was assigned to the deputy prosecutor Ginevra Grilletti who is carrying out the investigations. The alleged victim, after some time, first told the incident to a friend, then to her parents who formalized the complaint to the Prosecutor's Office. The prosecutor has already had the mobile phones of the two young people examined to extract the messages and chats prior to their meeting and also those following the alleged crime. But the investigation is very delicate, given that the contours of the story are still unclear. The girl, who in the past would have shown fragility, will be examined in May by a psychologist appointed by the investigating judge of the Court, Luca Melis, in order to determine the degree of competence to testify and her clinical credibility.
An indispensable evidentiary incident to then collect - always in a protected setting and with the rules of cross-examination - any testimony from the teenager.
Prudence
The investigations are kept in the strictest secrecy, also because the 14-year-old's story is still being examined by investigators. The prosecutor requested an expert opinion to verify the young woman's ability to give testimony, while the parents of the boy, who had just turned 18, appointed the lawyer Pier Andrea Setzu when he was entered in the register of suspects on the hypothesis of sexual violence on minor. To continue the investigations we will have to wait for the outcome of the psychological assessment.
