After the OK from UEFA, which has already defined the project for the new Cagliari stadium as "the best around", now comes the yes (even if not official) from the FIGC, which met in Turin with the representatives of the cities for Euro 2032 to take stock of the projects and begin discussing the organization of the event (traffic, logistics, etc., starting from the experience of Euro 2024).

Cagliari's proposal is liked by the top brass of Italian football and the capital remains in the running to host some matches of the competition that will take place in Italy and Turkey in eight years. The FIGC, however, is asking for guarantees on the timing: in fact, construction of the new facility must begin in March 2027 (two years of construction). Otherwise, the capital will be out of the game.
