Eleven tons of feed intended for livestock farming were seized by the Carabinieri of the NAS of Cagliari during an inspection of a retail outlet in the capital.

During the inspection, the officers, supported by personnel from the Local Health Authority's Veterinary and Hygiene Service, found that the business was operating in violation of a prohibition order issued in June last year by the SUAPE Service of the Municipality of Cagliari. This order was issued after previous inspections revealed irregularities in the establishment's notification and registration procedures, essential requirements for ensuring the traceability and safety of the supply chain.

The Carabinieri then ordered an official blockade of the entire business, halted the marketing of the feed, and reported the business owner to the judicial authorities for failure to register and for non-compliance with the provisions.
