He allegedly used the computer network of the multinational company where he works to download hundreds of child pornography files , including videos showing sex scenes with children between the ages of 5 and 8. For this reason, at the end of a long search both at home and at his workplace, a 38-year-old worker from Cagliari was arrested by agents of the Cyber Security Operations Center of the Police.
428 prohibited videos were recovered from some of his storage devices.
According to the few and summary information leaked so far on the matter, the 38-year-old would have ended up in the sights of the Polposte investigators, coordinated by the director Francesco Greco, within a larger investigation that also involves other prosecutors. The files will now be shared with the National Center for the Fight against Online Child Pornography (Cncpo) and with the Interpol Icse (International child sexual expoitation) in order to discover the nationality and identity of the little victims.
Today is the national day against paedophilia and child pornography and it is the tenth arrest since last year (8 in 2024 and 2 this year) carried out by the men of the Postal and Communications Police of Cagliari.
