Yet another tragedy at sea in Sardinia, the second in a few hours : an 84-year-old man, Severino Dessì, a former builder, died off the beach at Calamosca, on the Cagliari coast, after diving from the boat he was on with his wife.

It was the woman who raised the alarm, worried because she had not seen him resurface. The hypothesis is that Dessì had a sudden illness in the water, which was fatal. Several patrol boats from the Cagliari Port Authority arrived on site in search of the missing man with the diving unit.

The checks lasted a few minutes: the body was recovered a short distance from the point where he had dived.
