First he hit the ATMs with a hammer, then he set fire and risked being burned. A 25-year-old was arrested last night in Cagliari by personnel from the Carabinieri Radiomobile Section.

The military intervened at the request of the Cagliari Fire Brigade personnel for the fire in two ATMs of the "Unicredit" branch in via Santa Maria Chiara 152 and tracked down the young man not far away.

Subjected to a search, he was found in possession of an anti-wind lighter and a one-kilo hammer. The police found that after damaging the doors with the hammer , he set them on fire with flammable liquid. The flame that exploded point blank in his face destroyed his eyebrows.

The boy was held in the security rooms of the Cagliari-Villanova station awaiting trial with a very direct procedure.
