An elderly couple, a husband and wife aged 80 and 78, were hit late this afternoon in Via Po, Cagliari.
According to initial information, the two were crossing on the crosswalk when they were hit by a car. But to establish the dynamics it is necessary to wait for the report of the local police officers, who arrived on the scene with a patrol.
The eighty-year-old hit his head against the windshield and then on the asphalt, suffering a head injury, while his wife has a suspected fractured pelvis.
The two were transported to the hospital in red code, aboard two ambulances: he was transferred to the Policlinico, she to Brotzu.
Neither of the two injured people is thought to be in danger of life.
