Cagliari, demonstration against Article 41 bis: "The island is not a penal colony."

«Sardinia is not a penal colony».

The Region is protesting the government's plan to transfer crime bosses currently held under Article 41 bis, or maximum security, to island prisons.
Unions and associations joined the demonstration in Cagliari, arriving with flags and banners. Around a thousand people gathered in Piazza Palazzo in Cagliari for speeches on a small stage set up in front of the Prefecture.
