The seizure of assets of the regional councilor Nanni Lancioni (Psd'Az) was revoked , who ended up in the corruption investigation which revolves around the outgoing governor Christian Solinas and the sale of one of his properties , as well as appointments which - according to the Prosecutor's Office - would have been made in exchange for teaching and the promise of an honorary degree in an Albanian university for Solinas himself.

The panel of the Court presided over by Judge Giampiero Sanna (alongside Antonella Useli Bachitta and Federico Loche) annulled during the appeal the order of the investigating judge which ordered the seizure of the current accountants of the Sardinian exponent . A few days after the regional elections which sensationally saw Lancioni excluded from the Council, despite the over 4,700 votes collected, the judges accepted the request of the defenders Francesco Marongiu and Rita Dedola. The deputy prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia had also expressed his opinion in favor of returning the money to the councilor, but the investigating judge had rejected the request: hence the appeal.

«In the contested order», we read in the release from seizure, «no assessment is contained regarding the existence of the periculum in default in the field of the suspect». In fact he wasn't motivated. Not only. For the Court "the seizure of the assets of the suspect Solinas must be considered sufficient in order to guarantee the successful outcome of any confiscation and therefore the extension also to the assets of Gianfranco Mariano Lancioni (for all Nanni, ed.) must be illegitimate". In other words, the villa and the governor's accounts were enough to cover the alleged price of corruption : the Prosecutor's Office believes that Solinas' property was paid 350 thousand euros above its real value.

On 17 January the Financial Police had carried out the seizure of assets against six people as part of the two investigations (the sale of the property and the appointments). Also under investigation are Roberto Raimondi, the entrepreneur Roberto Zedda, the Solinas consultant, Christian Stevelli, the rector of the University of Tirana Arben Gjata and the general director of the E-Campus Algonso Lovito. «We are very satisfied with the provision adopted by the Court», say Lancioni's lawyers, «because it respects the regulatory and jurisprudential principles on the matter».
