Tragedy during the night in Cagliari: a young man died in a head-on collision between two cars in via Vesalio . Another died in hospital , where he had been taken in very serious conditions.

There are also two injured . The first victim is a 19-year-old boy, Thomas Frau, for whom rescue was useless. No information on the second has been released at the moment.

According to the first reconstruction of the dynamics made by the Local Police officers, around 3.30 am a Peugeot 207 went the wrong way via Vesalio, colliding with a Maserati.

The driver of the Peugeot lost his life in the terrible impact: the seriously injured person was the passenger in the front seat (accompanied to Brotzu by the 118 rescuers who arrived with several ambulances in via Vesalio) and serious consequences also for another boy who it was located in the back. The driver of the Maserati was not seriously injured.

The officers of the Local Police of Cagliari were on site to carry out all the investigations, also aided by the firefighters.

The cars were seized.

Thomas Frau's body was taken to the San Michele cemetery.
