The news that Israel will not open an investigation into the death of Shireen Abu Akleh , the Palestinian journalist with US citizenship from Al Jazeera who was killed on May 11 while following for work sparked an outraged reaction from Amnesty International. an Israeli army operation in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

The resentment was expressed by Riccardo Noury, national spokesperson for the organization for the defense of human rights who arrived in Cagliari to present the substantial report with which Amnesty itself describes the system of apartheid practiced by Israel towards the Palestinian people.

Noury spoke at the University of Cagliari in a meeting organized by the Department of Political and Social Sciences, directed by Mariano Porcu.
