Abbanoa closes the waterfalls under the bridge of via Mercalli, which overlooks the Terramaini canal: while waiting for the arrival of the materials for the complete replacement of the pipeline (expected in the next few weeks), a temporary bypass has been built that allows, immediately, to decommission the old destroyed pipeline and at the same time guarantee the supply to the users beyond the bridges. The pipeline, in fact, serves the commercial and artisanal activities present in the part of viale Marconi in front of the Fire Brigade Headquarters in Is Pontis Paris.

In recent days, images of hundreds and hundreds of litres of water that ended up dispersed, preventing transit in the cycle/pedestrian underpass, had caused a stir.

The sole operator has also requested an acceleration in the delivery times of the materials that will be needed to build the new line crossing the canal: these are six large steel pipes, each twelve meters long, plus the special pieces for anchoring and connecting to the pipelines on both sides of the bridge. The material should arrive as early as the middle of next week.

In this way, the new pipeline will be built more quickly than previously estimated.

"The bypass being built today," Abbanoa reports, "already allows for the elimination of the dispersion that affected the cycle/pedestrian paths present under the bridge along the banks of the canal. At the same time, adequate pressure can once again be guaranteed to the users served."
