A war device dating back to the Second World War was identified in the sea, off the coast of Cagliari.
The discovery was made last Sunday by the ship "Alghero" , engaged in the exercise "Mare Aperto 22 - Italian Minex 22" .
The craft located the unexploded bomb at a depth of about 19 meters .
The Navy , in a note, explains that all the authorities concerned have been informed and that the area has been banned by order of the Port Authority of Cagliari.
Information is now awaited from the Prefecture of the capital for the final safety measures.
The activities of the minesweeper group will continue in the southern area of Sardinia until May 27th.
