It will be a sort of inspection before taking action to protect the coast. A way to better prepare for the next tourist season. The municipal administration with the Sinis Marine Protected Area is preparing for the fifth edition of the Sinis Sentinels project with the volunteer camp "Easter in Sardinia, the magic of Sinis" which will be held from 7 to 11 April on the coast of Cabras.

The initiative's partner is once again Legambiente Onlus, which after last year's successful summer season has proposed to replicate the environmental protection activity in close collaboration with the marine reserve.

The volunteers who join the project will be engaged in an initial patrol of the area, with an inspection of the beach for the cleaning of any waste and related beach litter, cataloging of waste according to international protocol. The volunteers will also be involved in training activities held by the managers of Legambiente and by the personnel of the Amp on the naturalistic and historical-cultural characteristics of the territory. There are also walks to get to know the beauties of the place.

Also this year the headquarters of the camp will be the youth hostel of Funtana Meiga, which will undergo a reorganization by the operators of the AMP office, with the subsequent contribution of the volunteers who will be able to take care of the modernization works of the hostel such as the repainting of the internal spaces and arrangement of the external ones, or of small carpentry and carpentry jobs based on the skills and dexterity of the participants.

The Sinis Sentinels camp is open to adults, with no age limit. Memberships can be given on the Legambiente website. From 13 March on the Legambiente website it will also be possible to book for the summer version of the Sinis Sentinels camp.
