Cabras, a fire breaks out in a house: tourists break down the door and save a 66-year-old

When they saw smoke coming out of the window they did not hesitate to break down the door of the house and save the owner. It happened yesterday evening in Cabras, a 66-year-old man was rescued by two tourists while a fire was developing inside his home.
The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. in Via Trieste. The fire was apparently started by a lit cigarette that fell on the sofa. The furniture caught fire and the house soon filled with smoke.
Two tourists who were passing by noticed the smoke, without thinking twice they broke down the door of the house and took the 66-year-old outside. The firefighters, the carabinieri and an ambulance from 118 then arrived on the scene. The man was transported to the emergency room of the hospital in Oristano with a red code for the fumes he breathed, but he is in good condition and has already been discharged. The firefighters put out the fire before it spread to the entire house.
