44 interventions that made it possible to foil 13 thefts of sand and 144 buckets of sand filled (weighing over 7 quintals) to bring the grains left in the showers located along the coast back to the beach.
This is the balance of these last months of activity of the Sentinelle del Sinis , who have also cleaned up the coast of the waste present, eliminating 350 kilos of garbage and 100 thousand cigarette butts , filling bottles for a total of 65 liters.
The Sinis Sentinels project was started on 18 June by the Municipality of Cabras and the Protected Marine Area of the Sinis Peninsula of Mal di Ventre and ended on 15 September.
"A project - explains the mayor of Cabras Andrea Abis - full of pedagogical significance, as it forms the sentinels who in turn act as spokespersons, communicate with the tourist making known the peculiarities of the territory and the rules established to preserve the places" .
