Burcei whitened, the unusual spectacle
Bad weather announced, but it seemed unbelievable that it was snowing
The temperature dropped suddenly with the snow that began to fall in the middle of the night even in Burcei: almost an event given that it hadn't snowed in these parts for some time in April. Those who woke up at dawn were surprised with the town and the surrounding countryside completely whitewashed. Around 8 o'clock the white blanket began to melt, remaining abundant on the mountain. A suggestive sight after the last days of summer heat.
Bad weather was announced but not many believed in the arrival of snow after the rains, not so abundant, yesterday. No inconvenience for motorists heading to Cagliari and Sarrabus, with the asphalt towards the old East completely free.
Snow also in some towns and in the Gerrei countryside.
