The arrival of the Archbishop of Cagliari Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi, the sound of the bells, the words of the mayor Simone Monni and the parish priest Don Giuseppe Pisano: after seven years the parish church of Burcei , dedicated to the Madonna of Monserrat , was reopened towards 16 after the closure dating back to 2015. An iron window detached from the dome ending up on the floor. It happened at night with the temple closed. A true miracle.

Since then, religious rites have been hosted in the parish hall: after many years, and after several interventions, the ancient church designed by Gaetano Cima, at the end of the nineteenth century, has been restored and made safe. Today the reopening in the presence of the archbishop, the parish priest, the mayor and the population.

There were also moments of emotion upon the arrival of Monsignor Baturi. The town has thus repossessed its monumental parish.
