They were spending an evening at the public gardens. A Friday like many others for a group of young people, except that the carabinieri suddenly arrived: routine checks but then the drugs emerged. The soldiers noticed some packages (which later turned out to be doses of cocaine) hidden under a tree.

At that point the soldiers of the Macomer company decided to get to the bottom of it and began the searches. Checks were carried out in the homes of all the boys present at the park but only in the home of Daniel Cossu, 19 years old, did the carabinieri find drugs: a kilo and a half of marijuana and 5 grams of cocaine. The young man (who last summer had hit his uncle with a harpoon, wounding him not seriously) was arrested.

Today, assisted by his lawyer Gianfranco Careddu, he appeared in Court for the validation hearing. Judge Serena Corrias validated the arrest, prosecutor Valerio Bagattini requested house arrest but the judge granted the obligation to sign. The direct hearing was therefore postponed to June 13, it is likely that the trial will end with a plea bargain.
