Bosa, off to the third lot of works on the water network
Planned interventions for over 5 million and 400 thousand eurosGreen light from Egas also for the third and last project element for the massive water requalification intervention in the municipality of Bosa . The total investment is equal to over 5 million 400 thousand euros.
The Government Entity of the Sardinia Area, with executive decision number 465 of 22 December last, gave the approval to the project of the third lot, drawn up by the manager of the integrated service, Abbanoa SpA.
The interventions are made possible by Egas resources, already available, from the FSC 2014-2020 Development and Cohesion Fund: therefore, a further 2 million 726 thousand euros are destined for the city of Temo, in addition to the 2 million 690 thousand euros approved in November and which overall will be used to replace over 8 kilometers of old pipelines with new, more performing ones in nodular cast iron.
According to the study conducted, there is currently a very serious water dispersion in Bosa, estimated at around 80% of the loss of the water introduced into the network , for an economic loss of approximately 640 thousand euros a year .
The main causes can of course be traced back to the age of the pipelines, made of no longer suitable materials such as steel or asbestos-cement.
The third plan of interventions, recently licensed by Egas, will require a more substantial economic commitment than the first two and will be used for the reconstruction of 3265 pipelines in via Generale Ibba, viale Alghero, via and Piazza Aldo Moro, via Martiri Della Libertà, via Melis, vico Melis, via Mastino, via Passino.
The first lot instead involves via Ginnasio, via Azuni, via Manin, via and alley Santa Giusta, piazza Duomo and piazza Gioberti for a total intervention of around 940 thousand euros , while the second lot will involve interventions in via Serravalle, via Montenegro , via Sant'ignazio, piazza Episcopio and via Del Carmine with the replacement of one kilometer of pipelines for a cost of 1 million 755 thousand euros.
