Bono Brutally Beaten: Dog Alex Dies After Three Days of Agony

Alex, the deaf and blind dog brutally beaten by a group of kids on the night of August 31st in Bono, during the celebrations of San Raimondo, died after three days of agony. Some describe him on social media as a "weak and old animal, who didn't bother anyone."

He was beaten to death for fun, seriously injured, and died on September 3. "What was this poor animal's fault if not that of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?", said the mayor of Bono, Michele Solinas. "From the very beginning we have made ourselves available to the judicial authorities so that if the facts as narrated correspond to the truth, those responsible can be prosecuted in the appropriate venues. Mistreating an animal, in addition to being a deplorable and unspeakable action, is a crime under the Penal Code. Of course - adds the mayor - no punishment can ever be adequate to repress the wickedness that dwells in the hearts of some men".
