There is concern in many towns between Nuorese and Sassarese for the fate of little Andrea Pinna, an 8-month-old boy who was urgently transferred yesterday aboard a helicopter to the Bambin Gesù hospital in Rome after suffering from meningitis.
The baby was born last July 3 in Bono . The news of his illness and of the journey of hope to the capital immediately circulated from Goceano to Barbagia.

The father Giuseppe is the coach of the Taloro Juniores of Gavoi , and due to the drama that has struck his family, a message of closeness immediately arrived from the parish of San Giorgio di Gavoi and San Giorgio di Lodine: «We unite in the prayer for the little son of the coach of the Juniores del Taloro», is the message written on the Facebook profile by the parish priest don Michele Casula.
The mayor of Bono, Michele Solinas, also expressed support for the family: «The municipal administration is close to Giuseppe, Silvia and little Giada in this moment of great concern for the health of little Andrea», we read, «come to you a strong and warm hug.
Following the detection of the infection, according to what is learned, prophylaxis was started on all the child's contacts . But at the moment no other cases would have emerged. And it is not clear how the child could have been infected.
